Week 19: Joy Short Video
There is a part 2 to the word of the week, "Joy" but Blogger will not post it. I used to have a Facebook page for this blog site, but due to ack of interest, I deleted it last year. I have posted it on my other ministry Facebook page and you can view it here (direct link to the video) https://www.facebook.com/reel/1895349621168966. If you choose not to watch it, I basically say the best way to retain joy is to spend time with the Lord in praise, prayer, and Bible study and to obey His Holy Word.
Note: I recorded this around 4 years ago, but I still fully believe that joy in the Lord will help us get through any circumstance, whether the situation changes or not. I have mentioned this before, but when I went through 2 cancer surgeries in 2023, it was knowing that no matter the outcome, that the Lord loved me and would get me and my husband through the tough times. That hope brought much peace and joy during a physically and emotionally difficult time. And praise God, my cancers were considered synchronous cancers (which is extremely rare) and were both stage A!
Note #2: I mentioned in the video (in part 2) that I was only reading my Bible 3-4 times a week, but The Holy Spirit gently reminded me to always put God first, and I have since made a commitment to read my Bible every morning, a second Bible study in the afternoon, and then as well as listening an audio version with my hubby in the evenings. Yes, staying grounded in the Word helps keep my joy alive!
